Karine Rausis

Following her degree in electrical engineering at the ETH in Lausanne, Karine Rausis wrote her dissertation in the field of automated control systems.

In the year following her graduation, Karine Rausis took on a position as a process control engineer with Multi-Media Masters & Machinery (4M) in Yverdon. She then moved to BG Ingenieure und Berater AG in Lausanne as a project engineer, where she held the positions of project manager, senior engineer, expert engineer and, finally, unit director.

During her 12 years of service at BG Ingenieure und Berater AG, Karine Rausis had the opportunity to participate in the planning and execution of large-scale projects such as the refurbishment of the Glion motorway tunnel (A1), the equipping the Lötschberg base tunnel, the Metro m2 in Lausanne and the CEVA railway line in Geneva.

Over the course of time, Karine Rausis specialised in electromagnetic compatibility and protection from stray-current corrosion. Medium to high voltage installations (50 Hz and 16.7 Hz), in particular in the field of wired installations, count among her core competences.

During the last three years at BG Ingenieure und Berater AG, Karine Rausis was decisively involved in the development of the unit for “Infrastructure and transport in German-speaking Switzerland”. She was responsible for the unit’s administrative and financial processes, personnel management, customer solicitation and client acquisition. She was also responsible for technical and financial project management.

Alongside her activities as a consultant engineer, Karine Rausis also worked in her father’s electrical engineering company, in particular in the field of potable water pump plants for the municipalities of Valais.

Karine Rausis founded the company Rausis Consulting GmbH on the basis of her experience.
