Lisa Martinenghi

Lisa Martinenghi has been a full member of the ENSI Board since 1 August 2020.

Holding a PhD in civil engineering, she has been working in the field of geotechnical and hydrological consulting as well as environmental consulting since 1994 and is currently the managing director of an engineering company specialising in geotechnical consultation.

From 1993 to 2005, Lisa Martinenghi held part-time lectureships at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI). Among other topics, she lectured on the construction of waste disposal sites and remediation of contaminated sites, remediation and safety procedures for polluted areas, as well as rock mechanics and tunnel construction.

Lisa Martinenghi studied civil engineering herself at EPFL. After graduating, she became a teaching and research assistant in geotechnical engineering, rock mechanics, tunnel construction and slope stability. During this time, in 1992, she was awarded her doctorate by the Institute for research in the field of soil, rock construction and foundation engineering. 

Lisa Martinenghi supplements the expertise in the ENSI Board in the area of deep geological disposal. As a member of numerous national and foreign professional associations, she has the appropriate international experience and expertise.
