Pierre Steiner

Pierre Steiner (1943). EUR ING and graduate electrical engineer: From 1967 – 1989, he worked in R&D and in the planning, construction and maintenance of national telecommunication networks in Switzerland, Africa, South America and Asia. From 1990–1996, he was Director of Pro Telecom, the Swiss telecom association. From 1997–2004, he was Deputy Secretary General of Swisscom and then Head of External Affairs handling relations with central and local government, political parties, associations, interest groups and international organisations, e.g. ITU, ETSI, ETNO. He is currently an independent consultant.
